A stunning model has been sentenced to seven years and seven months in prison for defrauding vulnerable men out of large sums of money through deceitful tactics over a four-year period.
Gemma Kingsley, 50, manipulated her victims into believing she would inherit a significant fortune, leading them to spend exorbitant amounts on her, including financing a proposed wedding and luxury hotel stays. One victim even contributed towards purchases like a Land Rover and a Porsche.
Kingsley admitted to multiple charges, including theft, fraud, and using false documents with fraudulent intent. Wiltshire Police first became aware of her activities in 2019 after she unlawfully used a friend of her mother’s bank details to cover expenses at Cromhall Farm near Chippenham.
Further investigations revealed a pattern of deceitful behavior, with Kingsley engaging in romance fraud schemes, convincing her victims of impending inheritances and manipulating them into funding her extravagant lifestyle. She also used their bank cards without authorization, accumulating large debts on their behalf.
The fraud team at Wiltshire Police uncovered additional instances where Kingsley had defrauded solicitors, lawyers, and a bank by forging legal documents and letters. Her elaborate web of lies and manipulation ultimately led to her conviction and imprisonment.
