Emergency services rushed to a Costa Coffee branch following a significant “explosion.” Firefighters, medics, and police quickly responded to the incident at a retail park in Bradford after a loud noise reverberated through the Bolton Woods and Frizinghall areas earlier today.

A fire engine from the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service was seen in the Costa branch’s car park on Stanley Road approximately 15 minutes after the incident. Witnesses observed firefighters surrounding a heavily damaged parked car, with visibly crumpled sides, and conducting searches of the vehicle’s trunk.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service dispatched a rapid response unit to the location, with an ambulance arriving shortly after to assist. A witness who was present at the scene mentioned hearing a loud bang while having their morning coffee, assuming it was a collision. However, their attention was drawn to the fire engine inspecting the damaged car in the Costa car park. Fortunately, the occupants appeared to be unharmed but were visibly shocked and received medical evaluation from the ambulance team.
