Traffic on M60 Halts Due to Police Incident

Drivers in Manchester are experiencing significant delays on the M60 as the motorway has been shut down in both directions due to a police incident. The closure spans from junction 11 to junction 10 near Barton Bridge close to the Trafford Centre, as reported by traffic alert service Inrix.

The closure took place shortly before 10:30 am, with Greater Manchester Police on-site attending to the situation. National Highways has cautioned drivers about a three-mile backup leading up to the incident, resulting in delays of approximately 15 minutes.

Traffic flow on the M60 has been halted in both directions between J11 Eccles and J10 Trafford Park near the Trafford Centre due to the police-led incident, with GMP in attendance. Delays exceeding 15 minutes are expected for motorists approaching the area.

This morning, lengthy queues have formed on the M60 in Manchester due to an ongoing police incident, with officers currently present at the scene.
