“Trump Believes Diet Soda Kills Cancer Cells: Dr. Oz”

Share

Dr. Mehmet Oz, a US physician, revealed that President Donald Trump is convinced that diet soda can eliminate cancer cells in the body.

During a conversation with Donald Trump Jr on the Triggered podcast, Dr. Oz, who serves as the Administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, mentioned that the President believes diet soda is beneficial because it can eradicate cancer cells, drawing a parallel to its purported effect on grass.

However, there is no scientific basis supporting President Trump’s assertion that diet soda has the ability to kill cancer cells.

This is not the first instance where Trump’s dietary habits have been scrutinized by a close associate.

US Health Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, commented on the President’s eating routines, describing them as the most “unhinged” among individuals in the administration.

Kennedy criticized Trump’s fondness for fast food, emphasizing his preference for McDonald’s, candies, and Diet Coke, which he consumes regularly despite its questionable nutritional value.

Kennedy noted that Trump’s consumption of junk food is primarily while traveling, as he trusts the food from large corporations to avoid falling ill. In contrast, when at Mar-a-Lago or the White House, Trump reportedly opts for healthier food options.

Furthermore, it was reported in October 2025 that Trump had created his own custom McDonald’s super-burger during his 2024 campaign, combining various menu items into a single large sandwich.

The excessive consumption of processed foods, such as those favored by Trump, has been associated with chronic conditions like diabetes and obesity, highlighting the importance of addressing dietary habits in the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative led by Trump and Kennedy.
