“Trump Praises King Charles Ahead of US State Visit”

Donald Trump has expressed admiration for King Charles once again, affirming that his strained relationship with PM Keir Starmer will not affect the monarch’s upcoming US state visit. The US president has criticized the Prime Minister for decisions related to the North Sea drilling and immigration, hinting at potential changes to the UK-US trade deal.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to embark on a four-day visit to the US later this month, coinciding with escalating tensions between the US and its allies. Trump, referring to Charles as a “great gentleman,” spoke positively about the upcoming visit during an interview with Sky News.

Despite his criticisms of Keir Starmer, Trump emphasized that his disagreements with the Prime Minister would not overshadow the royal visit. He highlighted the significance of the historic visit, which will commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence.

During the visit, the royal couple will engage in various activities, including attending a traditional American Block Party in Virginia and participating in formal events at the White House. King Charles will also address Congress and visit significant sites in New York before continuing his journey to Bermuda.

The trip aims to strengthen ties between the US and the UK, despite recent disagreements, and promote historical and cultural exchanges between the two nations.
