Center Parcs Discontinues Crèche Service, Sparks Parent Backlash

Share

Center Parcs has decided to discontinue its crèche service for children aged three months to three years at its resorts, causing dissatisfaction among families. Starting next month, visitors will no longer have the option to pay approximately £30 for a three-hour crèche session. A Center Parcs spokesperson explained that they made this change based on guest feedback and low demand for the service, emphasizing that other activities will still be available. Customers planning to visit Center Parcs soon were surprised to find that crèche slots were no longer open for booking from June.

Some disappointed parents expressed their frustration on social media, mentioning how the crèche had been a valuable resource during their stays. Before the closure, Center Parcs described the crèche as a stimulating environment for children to engage in structured activities led by experienced caregivers.

In a different development, Center Parcs has started construction on a new site in the Scottish Borders, a £450 million holiday resort that is anticipated to create around 1,200 jobs. The new forest area will host various tree species and plant life, fostering a diverse ecosystem. The Scottish Borders site will boast 700 lodges and flats, a Subtropical Swimming Paradise, retail establishments, dining options, and an Aqua Sana Forest Spa set amidst the woodland. Virtual tours and 3D visualizations showcase the amenities situated by the waterside.
