The incident occurred in the Cedar Grove neighborhood of Shreveport early Sunday morning, stemming from what authorities described as a “domestic disturbance.” The shooter, an adult male, fled in a stolen vehicle but was later shot dead by police during a pursuit in Bossier Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.
Reports indicated that the gunman shot a total of 10 individuals, leaving two women injured from gunshot wounds to the head, while a young boy sustained injuries after jumping from a roof. The identities of the shooter and victims have not been disclosed yet, although police mentioned some of the children were related to the deceased man.
The initial shooting unfolded inside a residence on West 79th Street near Linwood Avenue in Shreveport. Additional linked shooting scenes were identified on Harrison Street and Brompton Lane in Bossier Parish.
