Emergency Response Vehicles Swarm Liverpool City Center

Multiple emergency response vehicles have gathered on a city center street. Old Hall Street in Liverpool city center has been shut down for the evening. The exact nature of the situation remains unknown, but fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances are on the scene. The area is bustling with at least six ambulances, rapid response vehicles, and two ambulance “incident response units.”

The Radisson Blue Hotel has been evacuated, with four fire engines stationed behind the hotel. Images provided to the Liverpool Echo by an individual known as “Dronee” depict a significant blaze behind the hotel. Hotel guests have been safely evacuated from the premises.

One hotel guest recounted to a Liverpool Echo journalist the chaotic evacuation process, mentioning that alarms were blaring, forcing everyone out into the cold for over an hour. Witnesses also noted difficulties in re-entering the hotel after being outside.

According to reports from a Liverpool Echo correspondent on-site, some dumpsters and large bins near the hotel show signs of fire damage. Guests have reported a fire in the vicinity, but this has yet to be officially confirmed by emergency services.

The road closure spans the top of the street near Leeds Street junction, with a police car blocking access, as per Liverpool Echo updates. Numerous emergency vehicles are present on Old Hall Street, including ambulances, rapid response units, and ambulance “incident response units.” Additionally, four fire engines are stationed behind the Radisson Blu Hotel.
