Queen Elizabeth II, known for her fondness for Paddington, is set to have a limited edition collector’s bear in honor of what would have been her 100th birthday. The Queen Elizabeth II Bear, meticulously crafted from top-quality mohair by renowned teddy maker Steiff, showcases intricate details such as a jeweled brooch, an embellished hat, and Steiff’s signature ear tag with a brass button.

This commemorative bear is part of the festivities marking the late monarch’s 100th birthday on April 21. Priced at £289, the bear will have a worldwide release with only 4,996 units available in total, symbolizing the Queen’s longevity of 96 years. Each bear is uniquely numbered, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and presented in a premium souvenir bag. The bear, fully movable with 5-way jointing, features fine colored embroidery on the soles of its feet to honor Queen Elizabeth II’s milestone birthday.

Dressed in one of the Queen’s iconic lime green coat and matching hat, which she wore at one of her final official engagements, the bear also sports classic accessories like a pearl necklace, a crystal brooch, and her signature handbag. The royal family is gearing up to lead the commemorations, with King Charles delivering a recorded address celebrating his mother’s life and legacy to the nation and the Commonwealth.

King Charles and Queen Camilla, accompanied by other royal family members, will host numerous representatives from charities and organizations linked to Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace as a tribute to her memory. Additionally, a set of 12 stamps has been released by Royal Mail to mark the late Queen’s centenary, featuring images spanning her life from childhood to her reign, including stamps reflecting her passion for horses and dogs.

Following the upcoming commemorations, King Charles and Queen Camilla are scheduled to embark on a State Visit to the United States, hosted by President Donald Trump. This visit occurs amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East and a critical juncture in the UK-US relationship, termed the “special relationship.”
