A young male has been taken into custody following an assault on a teenager at a McDonald’s establishment. The incident occurred at a McDonald’s branch situated on Bitterscote Drive within the Ventura Retail Park in Tamworth on Monday evening. Law enforcement and medical responders were summoned to the scene at approximately 8:30 pm in response to a reported stabbing. The detainee is a 15-year-old boy.
According to a representative from the West Midlands Ambulance Service, emergency services received a call regarding a stabbing at 8:24 pm on Bitterscote Drive. A response team comprising one ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT (Medical Emergency Response and Intervention Team) trauma doctor accompanied by a critical care paramedic promptly arrived at the location. Upon arrival, they encountered a male teenager requiring treatment for potentially severe injuries, after which he was transported to a medical facility for further evaluation.
Confirmation from Staffordshire Police revealed that the altercation transpired inside the McDonald’s restaurant. The individual in custody, a 15-year-old male hailing from Birmingham, was apprehended under suspicion of affray, as outlined by BirminghamLive.
