A man has passed away due to suspected poisoning incident that occurred on a busy street in Leicester.
The incident took place in the Clarendon Park area of the city on Saturday, April 11, prompting a swift response from Leicestershire Police. Emergency services, including Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene with Queen’s Road being cordoned off.
Paramedics attended to the man at the location before transferring him to the hospital, where he tragically succumbed to the poisoning shortly after, according to authorities.
After initial investigations, a 41-year-old individual was apprehended on suspicion of administering poison. The individual has been released on bail as the inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues.
