“Reform Campaigner Praises Hitler, Denies Holocaust”

A campaigner advocating for reforms in local elections, who owns a tanning salon visited by Nigel Farage, has expressed admiration for Adolf Hitler, according to recent revelations. Aaron Taylor, who was intending to run as a candidate and served as a branch treasurer, publicly praised the Nazi leader. Taylor, 33 years old, shared a tribute to Hitler and even posted “heil Hitler” online while denying the occurrence of the Holocaust. Images from January depicted Reform’s Robert Jenrick visiting Taylor’s Sun Spa salon in Essex. Furthermore, Taylor shared a picture of Hitler online with the caption: “I gave it my all. Now its time, for you to give it your all.”

A tweet, now deleted, from late October was a response to a user complaining about anti-Semitic content in their feed. In another tweet that same month, Taylor questioned the authenticity of the Holocaust. These posts were brought to light by the anti-racism campaign group HOPE Not Hate (HNH).

Confronted at his salon in Jaywick, within Farage’s Clacton constituency, Taylor issued an apology, mentioning he had been “removed” from the party. He expressed regret, stating, “I genuinely apologize,” and attributed the controversial posts to potentially being under the influence of alcohol.

Meanwhile, Reform has been performing well in the polls, with Farage aiming to leverage the upcoming May 7th elections as a measure of PM Keir Starmer’s popularity. HNH’s director of research, Joe Mulhall, expressed shock at the open support for Hitler and Holocaust denial from a Reform campaigner. Mulhall emphasized the necessity for the party to expel individuals like Taylor and questioned why someone with such extreme views would align with Reform.

Taylor, referring to Farage as “the big boss,” actively promotes Reform on social media platforms. Despite his polished public persona, Taylor’s online posts revealed extreme viewpoints, including support for Hitler and racist remarks. His Twitter account, previously under the handle “@the_jackal123,” featured multiple posts endorsing Hitler and white supremacy.

Taylor, who previously held the position of treasurer for Harwich and north Essex’s Reform UK branch, is also the director of Sun Spa 11 Ltd. He clarified that he had been removed from his roles within the party due to disagreements over his statements.

When questioned about his controversial tweets and affiliations, Taylor claimed to have no recollection of some of his posts and actions. Reform stated that Taylor is no longer a member of the party, having been rejected as a candidate and serving briefly as an interim branch treasurer.
