Freeview has announced significant changes to its TV guide, including repositioning and renaming channels. The most notable update is the closure of Talk (Ch 280), a British news channel known for debate and opinion-led journalism. Viewers can now access Talk through the official app or on platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.
Additionally, Freeview’s latest update includes renaming Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 to simply Wedotv, along with three services moving to new spots on the planner. Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics will be relocated, with Ketchup TV shifting from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too moving from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics moving to Ch 210 from its previous position on Ch 214.
Freeview stated that on June 25, 2026, some broadcasters will make channel changes, emphasizing the evolving nature of Freeview channels with constant moves, additions, and removals to provide diverse content for audiences.
To ensure access to all channels, users must update their TV settings by retuning. Freeview advises users to press the menu button on their remote, select ‘set-up’ or a similar option, choose ‘first-time installation,’ confirm the deletion of existing channels, and save the newly found channels.
