Thirteen years have passed since the debut of the iconic movie “Frozen,” a film that captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. The enchanting journey of Elsa and Anna quickly rose to become one of the most successful animated films ever, paving the way for its sequel in 2019. With the film’s popularity soaring, it’s no surprise that parents of young children find themselves singing along to the beloved song “Let It Go.”
My seven-year-old daughter has been entranced by the Frozen movies, frequently watching them on Disney+. The captivating bond between the two sisters resonates deeply with children of her age. Given the opportunity to explore Disneyland Paris for the unveiling of Disney Adventure World, which now includes the World of Frozen, I eagerly accepted the invitation.
This new addition to Disneyland Paris marks a significant step in the park’s expansion plans. The area boasts meticulously landscaped gardens surrounding a picturesque lake, along with new dining and shopping options. However, the true highlight lies in the immersive experience of stepping into Arendelle, allowing visitors to feel like part of the magical adventure.
Venturing into Arendelle for the first time was not only a thrilling experience for me but also a magical debut Disney trip for both myself and my daughter. Prior to the official opening, we were granted a sneak peek of the town, which left us in awe. Although Arendelle is a fictional realm, its Norwegian-inspired architecture is flawlessly recreated in the park. The attention to detail, from the towering North Mountain to Elsa’s enchanting palace, delighted fans of Frozen.
Our day began with a visit to the lakeside cabin for my daughter’s Scandinavian-inspired hairstyle. The wood-clad cabin offers a range of braids and updos adorned with Frozen-themed accessories, along with face painting and flower crowns to complete the Arendelle villager look.
Exploring further, we discovered the Nordic Crowns Tavern, a cozy dining spot offering Scandinavian delicacies like meatballs and fish, perfectly complementing the Arendelle ambiance.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the World of Frozen ride. Boarding a boat, we embarked on a journey through scenes from the first film, encountering beloved characters and culminating in a thrilling ride through Elsa’s icy fortress. The exhilarating experience of the ride, complete with a heart-pounding descent and a serene firework display, left a lasting impression on my daughter and me.
Visitors can also enjoy the Celebration in Arendelle, a captivating show featuring beloved characters aboard boats on the lake, as well as meet-and-greet sessions with Anna and Elsa (reservations required).
For a unique dining experience, the Regal View Restaurant offers an exquisite setting where guests can enjoy a three-course French meal amidst Disney-inspired decor. The opportunity to interact with Disney princesses during the meal added an extra touch of magic to our visit.
In addition to the World of Frozen, the new Tangled ride provides a delightful experience for younger visitors. The Raiponce Tangled Spin ride offers a gentle journey under lanterns, perfect for young children.
The day culminated in a spectacular opening ceremony, featuring a performance by French singer Santa and a mesmerizing night-time show, Disney Cascade of Lights, set on the lake. The combination of drones, fireworks, and pyrotechnics created a magical finale for Frozen fans.
In conclusion, the World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris exceeded all expectations, offering a truly enchanting experience for visitors of all ages. The meticulous attention to detail and immersive atmosphere of Arendelle left us captivated throughout our visit, making it a highlight of our Disneyland Paris adventure. Witnessing the joy on my daughter’s face as she explored this magical world made the journey truly unforgettable.
