An elderly woman, aged 84, passed away following an alleged stabbing incident involving her son. Doris Innes was assaulted outside her residence in Plumstead, located in south-east London, as reported by the Metropolitan Police. Although two other individuals were threatened with a knife during the incident, they escaped uninjured, according to the authorities.
The suspect, Giorgio Pin, aged 62, was apprehended approximately 20 minutes after law enforcement was alerted and has been formally charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Law enforcement received a report of a male wielding a knife on Red Lion Place at 8:50 am on Wednesday. Ms. Innes was discovered wounded outside her house and was swiftly transported to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries later on.
Pin, residing on Brookhill Road nearby, is scheduled to make a court appearance at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
