Donald Trump’s team abruptly ended a live video broadcast of his exclusive cryptocurrency conference held behind closed doors. The President is scheduled to deliver a speech at Mar A Lago to the top investors in his digital currency, $TRUMP. Only the top 297 $TRUMP holders are permitted to participate in the conference, a move that has drawn criticism from Democrats. Additionally, the top 29 coin holders will have the opportunity to attend a VIP reception with Trump during the event.
In an effort to maintain secrecy, two of the President’s aides intervened to halt the live stream. A stream appeared on the account of a user named “Cryptohawk” just before Trump’s speech was to commence. However, after streaming the stage for approximately 30 minutes, a woman appeared on camera, seemingly trying to identify the source of the broadcast.
She signaled a suited man, who then approached the streamer and inquired about the phone responsible for the stream. Against the background of Robin Thicke’s hit song, “Blurred Lines,” the man informed the streamer that recording the event was prohibited and requested identification before terminating the stream.
The conference follows a significant decline in the value of $TRUMP, dropping by 92% in the past year. Attendees’ costs for the VIP reception have also decreased by over 80% compared to the previous year. In 2025, attendees needed to possess an average of $3,280,000 worth of $TRUMP, whereas this year, the average requirement is only $539,000.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly stated, “President Trump’s assets are managed by his children through a trust, ensuring there are no conflicts of interest.” Attendees will receive a swag bag of Trump-branded merchandise, including a fragrance, a commemorative poster, and a “Fight Fight Fight Red Beauty Watch” that Trump sells online for $499. Former boxer Mike Tyson, who was convicted of rape, and motivational speaker Tony Robbins are also expected to make appearances at the event.
