“M25 Closed in Essex After Severe Collision”

A major accident has led to the closure of a section of the M25 motorway in Essex. Both directions of the motorway are shut down between Junction 29 (Upminster) and Junction 30 (Thurrock) following the collision, which occurred just before 8pm. The incident occurred on the anti-clockwise lane, as reported by traffic monitoring platform Inrix. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, are currently on-site.

National Highways has stated that traffic moving clockwise is being redirected from junction 29 to the A127, while anti-clockwise traffic is being rerouted from junction 30 to the A13 towards Tilbury.

Official sources have confirmed that the M25 is completely closed in both directions due to a severe collision. Emergency responders are actively working at the scene.
